We do our best to accommodate both new and returning patients so everyone can be seen as soon as possible. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Your first session will begin with a thorough evaluation to understand your concerns and medical history. We’ll discuss your goals, and based on that, we’ll start a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Depending on your condition, we may begin hands-on treatments during the same visit.

Short answer: No. You don’t need a referral to start physical therapy in Hawaii. However, if you want insurance to cover it, it’s best to get one from your doctor.

To get the most out of your session, we recommend being as thorough as possible when filling out your online intake forms and any paperwork. Also, it’s helpful to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, and drink plenty of water before your visit. If you have any medical records or previous assessments (e.g. X-ray/MRI reports), feel free to upload those to your digital chart or have them on hand for your session.

A good physical therapist is always gauging progress, especially during the first week. If you’re not seeing significant improvement or feeling better, please let us know.
